A Business Case For Team Capital

A Certified Scrum Master’s |CSM| Perspective

Many organizations both large and small do not have a mature and efficient Business Service Delivery Model (BSDM), particularly as it relates to Product Development initiatives that involve complex Software Development and/or Project Management practices.  These organizations Profit & Loss (P&L) are challenged with cost overruns, an over reliance/dependence on contingent staffing, and budgetary drains associated with inferior products, and consistently late or cancelled projects.

These organizations routinely rely on strategies, methods, and management practices that leverage extensive ‘Waterfall’ or ‘Traditional’ - Process, Project, and Product Development norms.  These organizations too often take the ‘Quantum Leap’ into the world of AGILITY, hoping to find that ‘Silver Bullet’.  However, AGILE methods (e.g., SCRUM) alone do not eradicate or compensate for an organization’s inadequate BSDM practices.  A business entity can’t be AGILE if at its core, it is found to be handicapped and crippling.

AGILE (effectively applied), assumes that fundamental business basics,  organizational behaviors, and process disciplines (e.g., Project Management, Business Process Management, Requirements Management, Configuration Management, and Quality Management) are in place or can readily be grasped, implemented, and understood.  Ken Schwaber world renowned author/advocate on SCRUM |Book| ‘Agile Project Management with Scrum’ states that …’SCRUM is not a methodology – It is a pathway’.  Team Capital embraces this pathway alongside its clients and business partners – This with the highest standard and level of excellence and customer satisfaction.

The Customer Value Proposition - AGILE is ‘Product Focused’ and ‘Team Driven’

AGILE in its purest (unadulterated) form, places a marked emphasis and focus on product management; a distinct contrast with the traditional norms of project management where emphasis on strategic, tactical, and operational planning is the central and underlined focus.  The gap that separates these [2] respective entities (product/project management) is the divide that challenges an organization’s competitive advantage and its ability to get a project/product to the finish line.  However, though an organization’s processes and methods can (and often time will), get their product to the finish line, it is the TEAM that ultimately drives the product across the finish line.  It is here where ‘Team Capital’ weighs in.

Team Capital - An empirical philosophy of ‘High-Powered Performance and Integrated Leadership leverages the ‘Best in the Class’ AGILE practionners and professionals to collaborate and assist business organizations in building (iteratively) high-performance AGILE Teams.  These high-performance teams masterfully facilitate the continuous and visible alignment of the ‘Business Vision’ with the ‘Product Effort’.  Team Capital unlocks (unobtrusively), the full potential (energy) of the team.  This model is result driven and inherent to the Team Capital service delivery framework on ‘Integrated Leadership & Performance<< Hyperlink to Team Capital Service Delivery Framework – Continuum on High-Powered Performance and Integrated Leadership – Graphical Depiction Coming Soon >>

Team Capital affords the business community a unique, pragmatic, and discernible alternative to traditional churn and chaos associated with complex business development practices and initiatives.  Its emphasis on building ‘High-Performance-Teams’ establishes a climate conducive for continuous product stabilization and maximum ROI.  Team Capital is committed to doing the ‘Right-Things’ right.  This commitment underscores its model for ‘Integrity’ and ‘Value Add’.  In the words of Ralph Waldo Emerson:  “What lies behind us and what lies before us are small matters compared to what lies within us” – What makes us the differentiator?  Team Capital unleashes within - The Power of Team!
